Wednesday January 21
Yesterday evening Obama Obama Obama! Habemus Obama!
We watched all night the inauguration of the Obama family, here it is twelve hours later then in Washington.

This morning we went with Sal to see two more possible locations for the performance. One in Takhmao, a campus of a training school for teachers quiet a bit outside Phnom Penh. The other one was a tip of Borah, the husband of Thiery, they are very much in educating the people, so it was at the Royal University of Phnom Penh.
There was one really good spot next to a pond.

In the afternoon rehearsal with all of them (except off course the dancer, who will be with us on February 4.)
Annemarie told Sakkona to bring all of his instruments for the next rehearsal plus as many ordinary objects he can find on which he can make some kind of sound. Sakkona is crazy, impossible, utterly charming and bright. So he immediately understood the essence of Annemarie's request. And during the text of Sina he started ticking on a glass with water in it. And this fitted the soul of the scene perfectly.
The singer, Vutha, had to chante questions of an interrogator. This was completely alien for him, for everyone, so after an empty look on his face and lots of words from Kethya he started to giggle. Everyone started to giggle. More explanation and in the end he did it and it was great.
Annemarie gave them their parts, who is playing which character. They can start to learn their texts.

In the evening we went to a performance, Sal recommended us, of a Senegalese dance group, but he was mistaken, no Senegalese dance group tonight, so now we're at home, in a new room for Annemarie, because her toilet didn't flush.

End of the day.
Friendly greetings Annemarie Prins and Richt Martens.
